TOOL TIP:
Always use a mallet when working with your tools, not a steel hammer.
Use a wooden or polyprop board minimum 1.5cm thick underneath your work, to spare your tool blades.
A Cutting Mat can be used on top of the wooden or polyprop board.  The mat on its own is not sufficient.  
The blades cut through it and get damaged on the hard surface underneath.
